Nordic Christmas - Our 2024 Yarn Advent Calendar

Every year we offer a Yarn Advent Calendar in the shop. It has become quite a tradition I must say it has been a lot of fun designing and dying these calendars over the years. A lot of thought goes into selecting and planning its theme, so that every advent calendar is an experience during the Advent Season. Trunk Shows A Local Yarn Store Event

Have you ever heard of a “Trunk Show”?  If not, I am about to tell you how much fun they are and how they can open your world to hand dyed yarn! Let’s start at the beginning. What is a Trunk Show actually?Definition: A sales event at which a particular designer or company which presents their merchandise to potential customers, typically held in a shop.These events are almost like mini celebrations within the space of a yarn store. I am an American Indie Yarn Dyer, a mother of two, married and living in Hagen Germany.   We moved here from New York in 2011. Yarn Clubs...Why I offer them in the shop and what they mean to me...

Yarn clubs can be a celebration of a holiday, a special occasion that is dear to one's heart or a theme that brings one joy! The theme of a yarn club doesn't always speak to everyone, but the whole mission of a yarn club, and it is one of the reasons why I love to create them, is that it gives the maker the opportunity to experience the theme that is being celebrated through the components of the club, in turn making their fiber project memorable.
